CHECKERED FLAG RACING’S DEVON SANDEEN YEAR IN REVIEW

"Another exciting year for CFR Driver Devon Sandeen"

Chilliwack, BC. – November 27, 2007 –Checkered Flag Racing pilot Devon Sandeen wrapped up his 2007 racing season on a high note claiming the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series season finale at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway enroute to the Spec Racer National Championship. Along with the national title, Sandeen and CFR claimed several more victories and awards throughout the season.

In late 2006 and 2007, Sandeen matched his national level success claiming the western division titles and series final victories on both occasions. In ’07, Sandeen went a step further and claimed the national title.

"I am so happy the way this year went" explained Sandeen from his home in Western Canada. "Last year (2006) I had a chance at the national title but came up just short. George Fellner of Checkered Flag Racing who is my coach, engine builder and tuner and I made it a goal to win it all this year (2007). Our moto this year was ‘It's a long, long way to the top if you want to rock & roll, and we did.’ Running the # 1 plate next year will be sweet. I owe it all to him."

Along with the national level success, Sandeen also competed in several high profile events throughout 2007. The talented Tag pilot was invited to race in Spain and compete in the IAME International Challenge which was a pair of three hour endurance races against some of the best karting pilots in the world. Sandeen also competed at the regional level claiming the British Columbia Regional Championship in the TaG division. The talented Sandeen received the Greg Moore Fast Award from the Westwood Karting Association two years in a row which is only given out on years that is deserved. Other notable recipients of this prestigious award were the likes of Kevin Glover and Jordy Vorath.

Along with all his success throughout the past season, Sandeen also progressed his way up the eKartingNews.com (EKN) TaG driver rankings to eventually become the number one ranked TaG driver in the nation.
